|Description:||The Integrated Claims Supervisor for Long Term Disability will lead a team of Claims Examiners as they investigate, evaluate and determine benefit eligibility of Long Term Disability claims in a timely fashion. |
Supervisor will also be responsible for developing and sustaining excellent client relationships.
|Duties:||Supervisor will manage a team of Long-Term Disability Claims Examiners according to established procedures; plan documents and state and federal guidelines. |
Supervisor will ensure compliance with policy, provisions, state and federal regulations.
Team will exercise expense management through investigation, appropriate follow up, case management and claim settlements.
Supervisor will act as primary point of contact/liaison between employees, employers and medical providers.
Manage financial exposure via procurement of applicable offsets, change in definition and vocational management.
|Qualifications:||Prior experience working with Long-Term Disability Claims Management is required - preferably seeking 5(+) years experience or longer, |
Management or Team Lead capacity is a plus.
Prior role as a Long-Term Disability Examiner or equivalent is mandatory.
Proven experience in providing internal and external customer service.
Strong decision making capabilities.
Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Bachelor's Degree minimum is required.
Excellent math, verbal and business writing skills, good reading comprehension.
Ability to organize work, manage time and follow through.
Ability to exhibit a “can do” - helpful attitude.
Willingness to learn.
Lead by example.
Knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
Prior benefits experience desired.
